Informações sobre CNPq/TWAS (somente em inglês)

The Physics Postgraduate Programme of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) invites applicants from Developing Countries to apply to the CNPq/TWAS (03/2017) scheme in research areas covered by the programme: Astrophysics, Experimental and Theoretical Physics.

UFRGS is located in Porto Alegre, the capital of the southernmost state of Brazil, and the Physics Postgraduate Programme has ~70 faculty staff and ~100 students, with strong international influence. The Programme has been granted the maximum score (CAPES 7) in the evaluation of the Postgraduate Programmes in Brazil.

The CNPq/TWAS scheme supports applicants from Developing Countries holding a MSc degree in the Natural Sciences. The duration of the fellowship is four years and the successful applicant should start in 2019. Before applying, the candidate should seek a PhD supervisor and request a letter from the head of the postgraduate programme supporting his/her application.The list of supervisors of the Physics PhD Programme can be found here.
