Golden Week of Webinars in Astrophysics

8 de junho de 2020 - 12 de junho de 2020

Dear colleagues
During the week of June 8-12, 2020, the Institute of Astrophysics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile will conduct a “Golden Week of Webinars in Astrophysics” to present the latest research by the scientists who conducted it. Several of them have received the Nobel Prize in Physics or the Gruber Prize in Cosmology and have contributed with new revolutionary ideas that are illuminating the nature of our reality.
We would like to invite members of your department to take part in these webinars. Below, I have attached details of the dates, times and speakers, and links to register for each talk. The talks will all be in English, with a simultaneous translation from English to Spanish.
Further information and links to register for each talk can be found at the following page (in Spanish):
I would appreciate it if you could advertise these webinars around your department. The talks will be aimed at undergraduate level upwards, and we will have a Q&A session at the end of each webinar in which listeners are encouraged to participate in.
Kind Regards
Evelyn Johnston, on behalf of the IA-PUC
