Home Page
Welcome to my homepage. My name is Günther Gerhardt and I'm a PhD student of Physics at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. My area of interest is Plasma Physics (the presence of chaos in heating processes in plasma and the analysis of nonlinear waves interaction) but I have some others hobbys like learn Latin (you can find a link to my homepage in latin below this short introduction) and medieval history. In this way I have some interest in the aplications of Physics in Archeology (Archeometry) and in the Codicology (the most facinating are the palimpsesti). Of course I don't work with this kind of science because our wise Comission for Pos-Graduation do not consent students with scholarship to work in anything out of yours areas. This is due to a small condition in the CNPq contract.
Well, perhaps these political things aren't so good but if you like to make me some questions not only about nonlinear physics but also about latin and some related topics I'll be very happy in answer any question that I can. I made some translations (to portuguese) last year of mathematical scientific texts of the midle past century written in latin, these are papers about Gauss congruentia and related problems of periodicity, research interest of a friend of mine ( Jason Gallas ). I do nothing with these topics (rason explanate above) but I know something about analysis of chaotic time series and aplications, any comment is welcomed.
Here you can find some curious links to pages (here and in others sites).
