I am an Assistant Professor at the Physics Institute
of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
My research focuses on using strong gravitational lensing as a tool to study galaxies.
I am particularly interested in the study of galaxy formation and evolution by means of measuring the evolution
of the distribution of mass in galaxies that act as strong gravitational lenses and of reconstructing the
lensed galaxy population.
My research interests include strong gravitational lensing, dark energy and dark matter in galaxy
groups/clusters and galaxy formation and evolution. My main focus is to detect strong gravitational lens
systems in wide-field surveys and use them to impose constraints on cosmological parameters and on
the evolution of the lens and lensed galaxy population. I am also involved in the Herschel ATLAS project.
